Welcome to our modification page. The mod we have developed is called Dark Chaos. It is full dark, although you have the option to turn the lights on, and it is a server-side mod. We have also included more weapons, new skills, and some other crap we will tell how to use in detail. Basically, the whole experience is like a bunch of high-tech marines that duke it out in the dark We must emphasize, however, that this is our first attempt at any programming and that this mod is in no means related to Niight Hunters. We did not know about Night hunters until late in development of Dark Chaos. We must also emphasize that everything in this mod is an option. You don't have to use whatever you don't like. Oh, and also you can play this mod in single player. It's quite fun, actually

The first thing we will explain are the new weapons we have administered to the game. Every weapon has an alternate, exept for the blaster and hyperblaster. The blaster and hyperblaster now fire strange purple blobs that explode on contact. It lights up the level quite efficiently. The shotgun's alternate is the CraterGun, which when close enough, you can cause a person to crater and gib quite nicely at you feet. The CraterGun uses ten shells.

The alternate for the SuperShotgun is the LocaterGun. It shoots interesting blue thingies that spreads and leaves multiple blue trails that when someone walks through, you can see them. It uses five shells and can render the railgun trail invisable.

The alternate for the MachineGun is the MachineRailGun. Slightly more powerful than the machine gun, it uses two bullets per shot.

The alternate for the chaingun is called the AutoGib, which shoots like a shotgun spread, but still uses bullets.

The grenade launcher alternate is the flare gun. I'll let you figure out what it does.

The rocket launcher alternate is the Armagedon Rocket that shoots a shadow casting ball of psychotic particles surrounding a normal rocket. It uses twenty rockets and you don't want to be in the line of sight of it. Hehe, boom. Oh, by the way, all rockets are destructable. :)

The alternate for the railgun is the SniperGun. It shoots one bullet at high velocity that will gib an enemy easily. This gun reloads to slow for close combat and uses three slugs.

Sorry, no more BFG. We decided that it would defeat the cause, so we deleated it.

We also have some interesting grenades. The regular grenades is now a semi-transparent proximity mine that annoys more than kills. It's alternate is the PsychoBall, which is exactly what it's name sounds like. You need grenades and ten cells to throw it. This, as it's name states, is a ball of blue light that travals at high velocity and bounces chaotically everywhere until it hits an enemy. Also, we have the kamikazi. You only need one grenade to use it and once you pull the pin, you are as good as dead.

That should be all the weapons, so now I will tell you about the new items/special abilities we have administered to the game.

There are not many new special abilities/items and all are simplistic in nature. The ability of cloaking has now been bestowed upon you. To use it you just have to bind the key to cloak. Then press that key once to enable the cloaking and again to disable the ability. To cloak, you must stand still for two seconds. To minimize the possiblility of helping campers, we have made it so that you lose cells at a very fast rate. I have found it's actually hard to use efficiently and that it is very helpful to run away with. Meaning, if you are low on health you can duck around the corner and cloak fast, then shoot your attacker in the back when they come around to get you. We regret, however, that this ability can also help the campers that we all know are out their. To help the problem, we have hid every single spawn point.

The next "item" is the personal teleporter. To use, bind a key to savetele and loadtele. To teleport, save a location anywhere you please using savetele and then you can teleport to that location when you use the loadtele key.

The next item is the flashlight. It sends a sphere, sorry couldn't help it, of yellow light. To use, bind a key to flashlight and press once to turn on, and again to turn off.

You can also zoom in our mod. bind a key to zoom 1 and one to zoom 0. Zoom 1 cycles through a series of zoom levels and zoom 0 returns you to normal vision.

You also have a handheld flare. It has no real purpose except to attract attention to yourself. Bind a key to flare to use.

The last thing is id. Bind a key to id and when you press it when you have your view centered on an enemy. It will tell you who it is.

And that, I think, is it. If not, you'll probably find the rest out for yourselves.

If you get this mod, you'll have to bind keys to these commands: kamikazi, cloak, loadtele, savetele, flashlight, flare, zoom 1, zoom 0, id.

To get to the alternate weapon, press the one weapon key twice. Example: press two to get the Shotgun and again to get the CraterGun.
